Last night was Brooklyn Pride, just down the street from where we live in Park Slope. Two weeks before the big NYC march that goes down 5th Avenue in Manhattan, the Pride march that goes down 5th Avenue in Brooklyn wonderfully combines big city resources with small town charm; a Big Apple community focus and familial embrace that I will call Brooklyn Gemütlichkeit.
Me and Ed ready for the march.

Whether in Manhattan of Brooklyn, the march starts with the Dykes on Bikes.

You go, Girl! Letitia James, NY Attorney General, and one of many heroes on T***p’s enemy list.

Cheer New York

“Come on, Vogue!”

“I’m coming out!”

Fabulous!

Brad Lander, who is mounting a primary challenge against my current congressman, who had no presence in this march, even though it very much runs through his district. That’s not the only reason I’ll be voting for Brad Lander, just another to add to the list.

The parade concluded just in time for everyone to go watch the Knicks clinch the championship in Game 5…
Happy Pride, Brooklyn!
