Announcing the New Musicabre: The Raven

“Raven” is the New Page in the Notes from a Composer Banner

I’ve been teasing this announcement for a while now. Three previous posts have already revealed that I am working on the third short film Poe musicabre, to join The Tell-Tale Heart – a musicabre and The Pit and the Pendulum – a musicabre, but I have kept its title, and therefore also the Poe source material being adapted, a secret (although a big hint was dropped in one of those three blog posts – see if you can detect it).

Well today I am officially announcing the title of the third Poe musicabre, the expected final installment in a trilogy:

The Raven – a musicabre

Yes, this time it is not a classic short story of Poe’s being musically adapted, but his most famous poem being set to music, word for word, all 18 verses.

And visualized in a unique way, very distinct from the previous two short films.

I will share more about the making of and whatnot of “The Raven – a musicabre” in the weeks and months ahead. For now I’ll just add that the film is still deep in post-production; I don’t want to promise a finish date, but I’ll allow that I wouldn’t be making this official title announcement if I didn’t think we were getting close.

Which means it’s time that “Raven” gets its own blog page and heading in the Notes from a Composer banner. In the Raven page you can read Poe’s poem as well as find all the info and blog posts I have so far written about and will furthermore share about the film.

There to access evermore. πŸ˜‰
