Wisdom of my own personal NEW YORKER CARTOON captions

If it ain’t pastels, it don’t pass muster!

This will be the last of the caption installments whose title is inspired by books of the Old Testament. Only the Catholic and Orthodox churches recognize Wisdom, the Protestants and Jews consider that book not part of the canon. Never mind, it makes another good sequel title.

She refused the oboe and the piccolo. But the flute was just right.

I know your burden is more mythological than psychological, but let me tell you, Brother, we’re all feeling it…

I prefer the waxing grin to the waning moue.

It’s all strategy, you know, analyzing previous moves, calculating likelihoods, anticipating possibilities…

Back up, Buddy! Some of us are still working on the wheel!
