Judges of my own personal NEW YORKER CARTOON captions

It’s the midterms.

And the series continues to mine the Old Testament for title inspiration, if not comical inspiration.

So far the Judges of the New Yorker, be they the editors (at one time) or the public via on-line voting (nowadays), have yet to deem any of my suggestions worthy of finalist status. But I have relatives who prefer my captions…

Higher! Ed Asner is gaining on us!

It was one of the conditions of accepting the title of Hollywood Royalty.

Ever since that Dali guy gave him milk, he thinks of himself a purr-realist.

I didn’t realize it was Formal Friday.

They only ever swipe right on “Everything”.
