The director of “Oh Jesse”, Tokio Sasaki, shared stills from the footage of the short film I acted in a few weeks ago opposite Xiaoxiao Sun. I share them here as an update to the original blog post about that shoot. The title comes from the last line spoken on screen.

Tokio is still finishing the film; and explains that these stills are lighter than the final cut, which will have a darker and more intimate mood.

This two hander between a young man and his older, manipulative lover (that would be the role I play), could just as well be called “Secrets and Lies”, but that title has already been taken.

In case you are wondering, I’m the guy with the beard. 😉

UPDATE: Tokio showed the finished film to his advisor and shared with us that he got the highest score (3 out of 3) in all categories, including “Working with Actors”:

“Truthful, nuanced performances that reveal depth and complexity in the characters. Actors appear fully embodied in their roles”.
